SPRING: Remote Marketing Internship with True Moringa

True Moringa seeks a dynamic marketing intern to create on-brand visuals and copy to reach, retain, and educate customers.

Company Overview
True Moringa (Best of Indie Beauty Expo, Best of company - NY NOW, INNOCOS Blue Beauty Award Winner), a partner of Operation Mobilization, is a Black-owned supplier of coldpressed moringa oil and organic moringa powder for brands who care deeply about high quality natural ingredients and ethical sourcing. Working directly with 5000 small farming families throughout Ghana to cultivate and produce our natural ingredients, we have planted over 3 million moringa trees. Our organic farm is home to the largest solar-powered irrigation system in West Africa.

Responsibilities and Duties
• Create stunning visuals and clear copy in line with our brand imagery, personality, and value proposition
• Manage email marketing
• Manage customer loyalty program and influencer outreach program
• Manage brand collaborations
• Own and track ROAS, revenue, and ad spend

Qualifications and Skills
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Excellent graphic design skills
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator
• Interest in and passion for natural skincare & wellness products

Additional Info
• All interns must formally accept and abide by OM USA’s Statement of Faith for the duration of the internship
• A stipend will be paid upon successful completion of the internship
• Pre-Internship training happens through online materials and Zoom sessions with coaches and other interns in the week leading up to the start date. Includes debriefing with coaches upon completion of internship
• Duration of internships are flexible, and should be worked out with the team
• Internship is available in Fall, Spring or Summer

Qualifications of On-field Supervisor
Emily Cunningham - Co-Founder & COO - Emily graduated cum laude from Harvard University where she studied economics with a focus on developing economies. She discovered the vast potential of agriculture and the lack of agricultural capital available to farmers while working in microfinance at SEWA Bank in rural India. Through MIT's D-Lab, she channeled this passion for rural development into affordable technology design, co-designing a Gates Foundation Award-winning multi-crop thresher and moringa oil processing technologies in rural Ghana that would lay the foundation for True Moringa. Emily is a Forbes 30 Under 30 Awardee, Echoing Green Fellow, and MassChallenge Alumnus, with a decade of experience leading True Moringa’s global supply chain operations and distribution strategy.
