Project Summary: 
The Scaling Up Community of Practice (CoP) is a global volunteer organization that supports the development community's ability to design and deliver sustainable solutions. The CoP has Executive Committee members and heads of nine working groups.

Position Summary:
The Operations Intern will support the Scaling Up Community of Practice (CoP) Executive Committee members and the heads of the nine working groups with administrative support, online event management, website administration, meeting logistics, and other needs as they arise. This internship will require a minimum commitment of 25 hours per week with a flexible schedule and is presently remote due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a paid position.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Support the coordination of several online events including scheduling, membership management, and creation of marketing materials.
  • Use WordPress knowledge to improve and optimize the CoP website.
  • Maintain records of membership participation and CoP content production.
  • Collaborate in concept development to create intuitive and engaging experiences for CoP members and working group chairs.
  • Improve functionality, flow, and design of the CoP website to improve member experience.
 
Qualifications:
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum one year of relative experience preferred.
  • Experience with WordPress, Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Teams, and Web design required.
  • Strong online event management and marketing skills preferred.
  • Professional demeanor and communication skills, especially via email and by phone.
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize within a multi-tasking environment.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal, required.

Pay Transparency Statement:
The compensation for our internship program is $16.20 per hour.
