The Academic Success Center (ASC) is seeking Course Ambassadors for the Spring 2023 semester. Course Ambassadors will work closely with an assigned group of students to provide support and mentorship.

What is a Course Ambassador?
Course Ambassadors will be assigned to a specific class to offer additional support to students in those classes. You will help support the instructor and students in being successful and engaged in the course. This could be through providing technical assistance, organizing student groups, helping the students understand the course syllabus or moodle page, helping students form good study habits and generally understand how to succeed in a college classroom and beyond.

We are looking for students who
  • are engaged and enthusiastic about their own academics as well as the UNCA community
  • are looking to help newer students learn important student skills so that they may be successful in their time at UNCA
  • feel they have strong and useful study skills they can help other students learn
  • are in good academic standing and enrolled full time

Commitment: 6 hours/week, including attending the meetings of your assigned course, trainings and team meetings

Pay: Up to $1500/semester ($14+ an hour), all applicants are also eligible for up to $2500 in scholarship support [depending on financial need]
