Junior Bulldog Assistant
SPRING SEMESTER OPPORTUNITY
Must be available Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30am - 1:15pm.
The Junior Bulldogs (JBD) program provides middle school students a dynamic, hands-on experience of UNC Asheville. Far from being just a tour of campus, JBD gives younger students real-life college experiences that allow them to picture themselves as part of a campus community.
The Junior Bulldog Assistant helps execute the campus visits. The JBD Assistant meets the school buses, welcomes visiting students and their chaperons, and walks groups around campus. The JBD Assistant also helps the JBD Program Coordinator answer student and staff questions, collect surveys from students and chaperones, manage students in the dining hall and throughout the day, and serve as a backup group leader in the case of last-minute cancellations.
The ideal candidate is friendly, enthusiastic and great with kids; experience working with middle school age students is a plus. The Junior Bulldog Assistant represents the university to area students and staff and should be able to dress and communicate in a professional manner. Must be able to pass a background check. Must be available Tuesdays and Thursdays approximately from 8:30am - 1:15pm.
