Math Lab Assistant Tutor

This position is open to non-Federal Work Study and Federal Work Study eligible students.  The Parsons Math Lab is open over 62 hours per week, supporting UNCA students success through their college career.  The Math Lab Assistant Tutor assists the Math Lab Instructor in the daily operation of the Math Lab. Duties include tutoring students in freshman and sophomore level mathematics, statistics, and other related topics.  The Math Lab Assistant Tutor is also expected to complete chores necessary for the operation of the Math Lab.    To be eligible for the position, the student must have successfully completed or is the process of completing the calculus sequence (I,II, and III, multivariable) and have sufficient knowledge of algebra, trigonometry, differentiation, and integration. In addition, some statistical and software skills or the willingness to learn these skills is preferred.  Successful applicants will work 4 to 6 hours per week.
