Summer 2022 Domestic Program Intern (remote position)

The Center for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR) is currently looking for a Domestic Program Intern for Summer 2022. This is a full-time, remote position.

Job Description: The internship starts in May 2022, the specific dates are somewhat flexible. The intern will assist with a variety of research activities related to the US economy and domestic policy. This may include some research for upcoming reports and economic opinion pieces, as well as generating website content. Other tasks include communications duties such as editing website content and outreach to advocacy organizations and Congress.

The responsibilities of interns vary based on the applicant’s interests and experience, as well as the particular issues that CEPR is working on at the time.

Qualifications: We are looking for applicants with a general understanding of economics and domestic policy, and an interest in economic justice. Excellent writing and communications skills are required. Previous research and data experience is extremely helpful. The intern will need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision and should be a self-starter and independent learner. Applicants affected by the issues that CEPR works on are especially encouraged to apply. For applicants that need permission to work in the United States, CEPR may be able to sponsor the appropriate visa. Compensation: CEPR is committed to offering an internship program that allows people from all backgrounds to participate. As such, all CEPR internships are paid and interns are eligible for reimbursement of health insurance plan costs. Interns will receive $2,694.40 per month. Up to $295.69 per month is available for health insurance plan costs.
