Human Resources Summer Intern

Our Opportunity:
Chewy is seeking a passionate, self-starter undergraduate student to join our Human Resources team as an Undergraduate Human Resources Intern in Dania Beach, FL. Our interns should be driven, highly curious individuals, who are seeking an opportunity to innovate and implement solutions in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment. What You'll Do:
From Day 1, interns are given ownership and empowered to make a lasting impact on their teams by combining project-based work with professional development, networking and social engagements, and mentoring. We aim to give you a real flavor for what it’s like to build a career at Chewy!
The summer internship provides students with challenging projects to gain in-depth knowledge of the human resources field through immersive, on-the-job experience. Human Resources set the tone for culture, team member engagement, and customer service delivery to our team. Our HR team focuses both strategies and energy to ensure our internal customers are taken care of just as well as our external customers. Interns work in one of our key HR functions, including:  
  • Talent Acquisition
  • Employee Relations
  • HR Operations
  • Benefits & Compensation
  • Learning & Development
  • HRIS Systems
 What You’ll Need:   
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Human Resources, Psychology or related field (juniors preferred, sophomores eligible), with intent to return to school after the internship concludes
  • Proven leadership experience, through academics, athletics or extracurricular activities
  • Minimum cumulative GPA above a 3.0 in academically rigorous curriculum
  • Strong, clear and concise oral and written communication skills
  • An enthusiastic desire for working with people and resolving issues
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week during the 10-week internship
  • Currently authorized to work permanently in the US without sponsorship
