Student Assistant to the Athletic Director

The Student Assistant to the AD will be assigned to help the Athletics Director launch a new community outreach program known as the Bulldog Sports Fest sponsored by First Bank. The Bulldog SportsFest is an annual event for children ages 6-12 with an emphasis on recruiting children from diverse backgrounds and who have a financial need. The SportsFest would provide the children with an increased awareness about various sports and introduction to college life. Participation and exposure to sports and physical activity will give the youth an option that can keep them active and engaged in something that teaches skills and may offer the chance to continue playing well into the future and perhaps an entry to college. This assistant will aid the athletic director with this program in areas of strategic planning, research projects, operations of the program, liaison to our department/sponsor/community, and other functions, etc.
