SUMMER RESIDENTIAL LIFE COORDINATOR - STUDENT SERVICES PROGRAM COORDINATOR II

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES:
Under the general supervision of the Director of Student Services and the Associate Director of
Student Services this position will provide direction and oversight to students enrolled in the
Governor’s School’s Arts Odyssey and Academy summer programs. Enforce discipline and
safety policies and procedures. The Summer RLC will be responsible for communicating with
faculty, staff, and parents regarding student issues and/or needs. In this role, the Summer RLC
will serve as a mentor and role model for the students. Performs other duties as assigned.

WORK SCHEDULE: Temporary Part-Time, approximately 30 hours per week (additional hours may be required, including some nights and weekends).

PROGRAM: RLC Orientation (June 13, 2022 – June 17, 2022); Odyssey (Week 1: June 19, 2022 – June 24, 2022 and Week 2: June 26, 2022 – July 9, 2022); Academy (July 10, 2022 – July 23, 2022)

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of one full year of college, university, or conservatory is required. A valid driver’s license is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with students in a camp or residential environment is preferred. Preference may be given to applicants who are 21 years of age and with additional educational or work experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
This is a live-in position, which includes room and board for the duration of the programs and
while students are in session. .Must have demonstrated knowledge and interpersonal skills to
work with artistically talented students, other arts educators and diverse constituencies and cultures.
