Corporate College Internship Summer 2022

Program Description

Offered at our Corporate Headquarters in Orlando, Florida; the College Internship Program is designed to last 3-6 months depending upon the participant's availability and the needs of the department. The participants should expect to work a full-time schedule in this program. 

All College Internships are paid at an hourly wage. The College Internship Program also offers:

The Corporate College Internship Program is available in the following departments/areas:

  • Creative & Branding | Content & Asset– Intern will assist with the MVW asset library (auditing, retiring old images, uploading assets). Will also help with organizing/retiring assets on the server, process documentation, audit images on server, help reorganize and brainstorm content ideas. Will learn about image research, brand guidelines, and asset management and organization.

  • Architecture & Design - This internship requires a design curriculum orientated college student at a Junior or Senior level working towards a degree in Architecture, Planning, Interior Design or Interior Architecture.

  • Inventory & Revenue – Intern will follow existing documentation to assist with running reports and assisting with various departmental tasks.

  • Resort Operations & Experience - The internships opportunities offered with this discipline with this team are based in our Orlando, FL Corporate office, length of internship is 6 Months. Opportunities are with the below departments:

-Food & Beverage
-Activities
-Quality Assurance

  • Talent Acquisition | Corporate Recruiting Team - Intern will have the opportunity to assist with talent sourcing, assist with job post in our social media pages, assist scheduling interviews between candidates, recruiter and hiring team; may assist with job requisition in our ATS and help with small projects.

Internship Summary

  • Participants will be expected to learn and preform the job duties of the position(s) within their assigned department. Interns may also be involved in department projects.
  • Participants will also learn components of what drives Guest Satisfaction and Associate Engagement on site will have opportunities to contribute to these important matters. Interns will be introduced to and have the opportunity to demonstrate the company's values and core beliefs.

Successful College Interns will be given a high level of consideration when applying for future career opportunities with Marriott Vacation Club. 

Job Requirements

Education

  • Candidate should be pursuing a college degree.
  • It is preferred that the candidate is actively pursuing a degree in Hospitality or Business. Candidates who have an undecided major may also be considered.

Experience

  • Prior Hospitality experience preferred.
  • computer skills such as Excel, Power Point.
  • Past Interns who are interested in completing an additional internship will be considered first. Previous performance rating will be taken into consideration.

Standards of Dress & Grooming

  • All interns must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation Policy HR-EMP-19 Standards of Appearance.
  • All interns for whom a uniform has been provided must wear the appropriate uniform. Uniforms must be neat and clean at all times. Alterations to uniforms are allowed only if prior approval has been obtained from a supervisor/manager. Missing buttons should be replaced, and tears or holes repaired before the uniform is worn.
  • Non-uniformed interns should dress with good business taste and in clothing appropriate to their jobs. Good business taste does not include blue jeans, shorts, spandex pants, tank tops, midriffs, halter tops, or other generally recognized casual sportswear. Dress or skirt length should be no shorter than four inches above the knee. All interns must wear proper undergarments. Corporate office interns must adhere to policy HR-EMP-19 Standards of Appearance.
