The ASE is responsible for presenting Oracle’s Application product offerings in the best light to prospects and customers, to evoke confidence in Oracle’s business applications solutions during the sales cycle. This position will support the pre-sales efforts of sales teams working with customers in a variety of market segments and industries. In addition to understanding the key requirements of these types of businesses, the ASE must be able to deliver software demonstrations to show the functional and technical capabilities of Oracle’s applications to meet the supply chain customer’s needs. 

Our ASEs receive world-class product training and sales enablement through our proven education and certification methods. You will learn all aspects of our solutions and will also be taught the business and technical benefits of Software as a Service (SaaS) and cloud-based deployment options.

What you’ll Do?                               
As an Associate Solution Engineer Consultant, you will be responsible for providing presales functional support to prospective supply chain clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision, through on-line/in person sales efforts. 
 
An ASE will also:
· Work alongside strategic account sales representatives in closing business by providing technical expertise during the sales cycle primarily for cloud-based applications.
· Responsible for discovery calls, solution architecture definition and delivery of solution-based demonstrations to customers.
· Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations to prospects and customers.
· Provide direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business.
· Direct customer facing discovery sessions and technical presentations, solution demos relating to Oracle applications and cloud services.
· Strategic planning and account development.
· Provide product and solution positioning training to sales associates.
· Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions.
· Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products.
· Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships.
· Support sales team in online/in-person selling efforts with minimal supervision.

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience- Major area of focus in Professional/Technical Sales, Business Administration (Accounting, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, or MIS) is a plus.
· Knowledge of enterprise business processes and Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions.
· Previous work experience or internship in an applicable business domain.
· Skilled in project management and handling multiple deadlines.
· Ability to work as part of a sales team to solve technical problems in varied political environments.
· Excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
· Solid understanding of key competitors, market trends and ability to articulate value-based proposition of Oracle products and solutions.
· Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment.
· Previous project lead experience.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques.
· Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments.
·   Ability to travel as needed.
