Job Description Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated audio/acoustic signal processing engineer to join our world class audio engineering team as a summer intern. This position will be responsible for developing innovative audio algorithms/systems to shape the future of listening lifestyle in the growing market of smart speakers and other consumer audio devices.

Key Responsibilities Include, but Are Not Limited To
·      Investigate, design, prototype, demonstrate and implement audio processing algorithms/systems, including playback processing, speaker protection, speaker linearization, non-linear signal processing and microphone processing.
·      Collaborate proactively and effectively in a team of business managers, IC designers, system engineers for the design, deployment, and testing of complex audio systems under form factor constraints.
·      Create clear and thorough documentation, presentation for internal and customer references.
 
Minimum Qualifications
·   Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Compute Science or Related Discipline with specialty in audio/acoustics/signal processing. Solid working knowledge of loudspeaker, acoustics, and psychoacoustics
·  Extensive experience (>3 years) in designing and implementing advanced audio signal processing algorithms.
·   Extensive experience in C/C++ and Matlab/Python
·  Experience with professional software design tools and techniques, including version control, code review, planning, etc.
 
Preferred Qualifications
· Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD  degree in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or related discipline.
· Knowledge and hands-on experience on the following topics: loudspeaker construction, mathematical modeling of loudspeaker behavior, understanding and compensation of large signal non-linear behavior of loudspeaker, Klippel Loudspeaker Characterization System, Thiele/Small Loudspeaker parameters.
·  Experience with acoustic measurements using instruments like Audio Precision and critical listening skills.
·  Experience with authoring/reviewing technical publications.
