Recruiter - University & Internships

Our Internship Recruiter recruits for top talent at national colleges and universities, national conferences, and diversity events for our internship program. We're looking for an entry level professional who will manage a large volume of requisitions at our Golden, CO campus, assist with school selections, manage intern conversion programs, and knows how to land the best college students for the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.

This role will be responsible for the following key deliverables:
  • Works closely with Human Resource Business Partners, Recruiting Associates, Sr. Technical Recruiters and all levels of management and staff to deliver an effective recruitment process
  • Consult with hiring managers during intake meetings prior to posting to attract the appropriate candidate pool
  • Source applicants through various means including advertising, networking, job sites, career fairs, and niche internet techniques during and in advance of need
  • Maintains a level of understanding of the market for relevant skill sets desired for the organization and builds candidates through networking
  • Pre-screen job candidates and schedule telephone, Teams, or in person interviews
  • Inform candidates fully about the job and company
  • Work with Coordinators on scheduling interviews, post-offer, and other administrative support
  • Manage time effectively, identify opportunities for improvement, lead small projects, and foster change
  • Apply knowledge of TA and HR policies and procedures to effectively follow best practices to increase efficiency and reduce cycle time to meet staffing needs
  • Provide regular updates and feedback on recruitment process to candidates
  • Extend offers of employment within company procedures
  • Ensure applicant tracking compliance and required forms throughout recruiting workflow as logged in Workday
  • Apply HR related federal regulations and compliance including EEO and DOE policies

Additional Required Qualifications
  • Knowledge or experience in recruiting process
  • Experience managing and prioritizing corporate workload in a fast paced, high volume environment
  • Strong customer service background or managing client relationships
  • Ability to execute recruiting strategies, including candidate management, non-traditional recruiting techniques and process management
  • Strong computer skills with a corporate suite of tools - Microsoft Suite, social media platforms and email management
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with a cross functional team and being a team player
  • Record of working independently to manage their workload
