Guest Spaces Intern

An internship at Ridgecrest Conference Center offers an experience to grow professionally, spiritually and personally as you receive on-the-job training and learn skills needed to serve in a fast-paced Christian hospitality environment.

The intern program includes weekly bible study and fellowship with other team members. You will be provided unique opportunities for your growth and development through enrichment and service. Team managers and supervisors will coordinate your work schedule, daily responsibilities, and special project assignments.

As a Guest Spaces intern, you will experience a large-scale conference center. Our team strives to keep all guest areas on campus clean and maintained at all times. You will learn the industry's best practices, problem-solving under pressure and how to lead a team. There are three areas within the Guest Spaces team you will have an opportunity to work in:
  • Housekeeping services over 600 guest rooms in 8 different buildings throughout the campus. 
  • Custodial oversees 75+ public restrooms and maintains all public spaces. 
  • Laundry processes over 500,000 items in a year. 
Requirements
  • High school graduate or GED desired
  • Some knowledge of cleaning procedures
  • Ability to follow instructions and to perform physical work
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisor and the general public
  • Must be able to follow instructions and other communications regarding assignments and other matters
  • Work will include significant amounts of bending, stretching, kneeling, twisting, and lifting on a daily basis
Other Qualifications:
  • Ability to work beginning August 2021 (9-12 month commitment)
  • Possess a sincere desire to serve others with excellence and grace
  • Be flexible, teachable and hard-working
  • Demonstrate maturity
  • Have excellent communication skills and be self-motivated
  • Willingness to serve guests with a positive attitude
  • Ability to work long days, busy weekends, and be prepared to work hard both mentally, and physically
  • Commit to the overall program (including core group, service projects, Summer Staff recruitment, events, etc.)
