Hinds' Feet Farm is looking for a talented individual who shares our dedication to the people we serve to fill the position of Day Program Specialist.
Position Summary
At Hinds’ Feet Farm, our Day Program Specialist coordinates with other program staff to facilitate member engagement in our Program which serves adults who have sustained a brain injury. This position will plan and facilitate group activities and provide guidance, support, training, and education for members, families, and guardians. The Day Program Specialist also works with members to address goals outlined in their person-centered plans and provide necessary supervision of the member in all aspects of the program.
Minimum Requirements
- Must have no substantiated findings of abuse or neglect listed and be in good standing on the North Carolina Health Care Personnel Registry
- Bachelor’s degree in a related human services field preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent required, at least 21 years of age, and at least one-year experience teaching or working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health needs
- Valid driver’s license with minimum four years driving experience, car insurance and clean driving record; willing to drive a 12-person van
- Must consent to pre-employment background check and drug screening
Benefits & Wages
This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position (Monday – Friday 8am-4pm) with eligibility to participate in the Hinds’ Feet Farm benefits program. Salary commensurate with education/experience - $13.00-16.00 per hour.
