Songtrust is looking for a Copyright Intern for our virtual internship program! This internship has been designed to be an amazing opportunity for someone who is interested in an all-inclusive operational experience in the music publishing industry. This role is administratively based and involves data-heavy operational work as well as a very in-depth copyright experience
What you'll be doing:
- Assisting the Copyright team in onboarding, registering and auditing both the DMP and Songtrust catalogs
- Import songs into our internal database and assist with copyright office organization
- Assist with international affiliations and work registrations
- Researching songwriter/song information
- Validating and resolving errors with client metadata
- Adhoc tasks
You are/have:
- Proficient in Excel/ Microsoft Office
- Detail Oriented
- Basic interest in/knowledge of Music Publishing, specifically administration
- Experience researching PROs is a plus but not required
- Any knowledge of Music Maestro is a strong plus but also not required
