Sales and Route Coordinator

Sunshine Beverages, part of the Teall Capital family, is redefining the energy drink and bringing a new consumer to the category with a better-for-you, non-extreme take on energy. Every can of Sunshine is sparkling with vitamins, electrolytes and light, natural caffeine – no more than a cup of coffee. We are looking for an experienced, highly passionate sales professional to join our fast-growing beverage company and lead growth in the Durham and Chapel Hill, NC area. This position will be the face of the brand in this market. The Sales & Route Coordinator will be based in Durham or Chapel Hill, NC and report to the Carolinas Sales Manager.
Responsibilities
Regional Sales
- Responsible for driving sales and growing overall Sunshine presence in Durham/Chapel Hill area
- Conduct market research and build target list of accounts within assigned footprint
- Win new local accounts, work with internal finance and operations to onboard new accounts
- Handle all communication, service, and deliveries to direct accounts
- Build relationships and serve as key contact for all Sunshine accounts in the region, providing superior customer service
Manage and Execute Delivery Route
- Execute dedicated Sunshine route to service key retailers (grocery, c-store, independent) and ensure superior customer service
- Conduct store surveys and place sales orders for Sunshine items
- Deliver sales orders to Sunshine retail accounts
- Create sales invoices for account billing and manage detailed records for accounting team
- Efficiently plan routes and constantly evaluate plan to optimize route time and efficiency
- Manage Sunshine inventory at warehouse location and ensure sufficient stock at all times for sales route
Perform In-Store Merchandising and Marketing
- Merchandise Sunshine items at retail accounts to best position brand for shopper
- Secure additional placements in strong accounts (e.g., cold placement, end caps)
- Support accounts with marketing and promotional materials as needed
- Conduct samplings for key accounts to drive trial among consumers
Requirements
- Reliable transportation, valid drivers' license, and clean driving record required
- Passion for working in a start-up environment
- Self-starter with the ability to produce results
- Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills (verbal/written)
- Deep understanding of the assigned territory and surrounding area
- Proven sales and negotiating skill
