Winter-Spring 2021 Newsroom Editorial Internship
The internship application deadline for our spring 2021 internship is October 15.
Do you like digging in to find answers to hard questions? Do you enjoy captivating friends with a well-told story? The Christian Science Monitor offers paid internships to self-starters who have analytical skills, a basic understanding of world events, and can write and edit with clarity and precision. Audio and video skills are a plus. Come work alongside top-flight editors and writers in a dynamic newsroom that strives to show hope and progress amid a divisive media landscape. For those applicants who lean more toward business, ask about storytelling opportunities through the Monitor’s social media accounts.
Paid and academic interns will work Monday through Friday, between 35 to 40 hours a week. Position is based in Boston, Mass. During the pandemic lockdown the Boston newsroom is working remotely. During this time, U.S.-based interns can arrange to work from a location of their choice as long as their work day aligns with Eastern Standard Time.
To apply by email, please contact the Internship Manager, and send a résumé, cover letter that shows your understanding of Monitor journalism, and at least three journalistic writing clips (if emailing, please attach clips as separate, printable documents and not as links) to: firstname.lastname@example.org
