Climate Advocacy Certificate Course
We invite you to join the Climate Advocacy Certificate Course hosted by Environment North Carolina this summer! This free, 10-hour certificate course will be offered virtually July 14 to August 11. Students will gain practical experience in advocating for climate change in North Carolina. Topics and deliverables include:
- Polling and messaging strategies
- Utilizing traditional and social media
- Recruiting volunteers for and building and working within coalitions
- Power mapping
- Lobbying elected officials effectively
- Writing letters to the editor and op-eds to be published
This is a great opportunity for you to build your resume and learn tangible skills for environmental advocacy. There is not a restriction on major/minor - anyone interested may apply!
