Air Resources Engineer

The California Air Resources Board in Sacramento, California, is looking for motivated engineers to join our team in the Off-road Diesel Analysis Section. We model emissions from sources such as railroads, ocean going vessels, construction equipment, and other off-road sources in order to develop plans, regulations and strategies to reduce emissions. We use sophisticated forecasting models to projects adoption of cleaner technologies, reduction in petroleum use, or other zero-emissions technologies to assess their cost and impact on regional air quality and health impacts.

Students in engineering fields are encouraged to apply if they have an interest in environmental engineering, air quality, computer modeling, data analysis, or protecting public health. Apply online through the external application.
