JOMI is a surgical video journal. We seek to improve health care and education by publishing surgical procedures, making it possible for residents, medical students, and the healthcare community at large to learn by watching the expert surgeons.
Job Description
We are looking for part-time video editors who are interested in editing surgical videos. We get to film the best surgeons live in the operating room, edit the videos into extensive educational modules, and then distribute this content to physicians and students around the world.
The responsibilities of the Video Editor are as follows:
- Ingesting and syncing all footage from the shoot
- Editing multiple drafts of procedures in collaboration with the editorial board
- Working closely with other video editors and the video lead to ensure a smooth workflow within the video department
Compensation
$12.75/hour with potential for equity in the company depending on performance
Candidate Requirements
- Proficiency in Premiere Pro
- Additional experience with After Effects a plus
- 2+ years of production experience with a focus on editing and establishing a smooth post-production workflow
- Be a fit for the startup culture (risk-taking, flexible, creative, and stable work ethic despite potential instability in the venture)
