Intern – Information Security Coordinator

This IT internship has an anticipated start date of July 2018. 

The typical pay for this internship is approximately $13-15/hour.

Mission Health’s Information Technology department invites you to apply to join the Information Security team. Mission Health has been named one of the Top 15 Health Systems in America for an unprecented fifth time in six years by Truven Health Analytics. The IT division is proud to have earned the Most Wired designation each of the past five years.

 

The Information Security team is ideally seeking a full-time 40 hours per week intern (approximately July 2018 – January 2018). The team will also consider a part-time 20 hour a week intern.  The internship is designed to provide quality work experience to a current college student or recent graduate within the past year. The internship is designed to give students an opportunity to complement their formal education with career-related experience.

 

This position is non-benefitted for approximately four months with the possibility of extending up to six months.

 

Role Summary: The Internship program provides individuals, typically current students the opportunity to utilize the education, knowledge and experiences acquired during their undergraduate or graduate education in a healthcare setting. The fundamental purpose of an internship is to provide the student with practical experiences and an opportunity to enhance skills through active participation and involvement, direct exposure and engagement in a variety of functions. The student will work closely with department leadership and other staff members to prepare for a career in healthcare.

 

Required Education: Two years of college education (i.e. associate’s degree completed or college junior or higher)

 

Preferred Education: Two years of college education (i.e. associate’s degree completed or college junior or higher)

 

Required License: Valid driver’s license required for occasional travel to other Mission locations.

 

Required Experience: Experience using a variety of computer systems and business applications, such as Word and Excel. Good verbal and written communication.
