Academic Advisor, Nursing Department

Job Summary:

To provide academic advising to freshman and sophomore students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
• 5-7 years’ experience in higher education setting
• Ability to learn and administer various compliance regulations related to education and nursing clinical practice
• Strong verbal and written skills and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge and experience with computer applications, specifically Microsoft Office and other information management applications
• Demonstrates initiative, flexibility, and problem solving skills
• Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and other campus personnel

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in related field
• Work history with Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs
