As a result of our very fast growing global expansion and ambition to increase our operational controls at origin, we're looking for a Warehouse Operations Associate to join our growing warehouse team and manage all aspects related to our new airfreight warehouse in Hong Kong. The Warehouse Operations Associate role is the first step in a career path in our broader Global Operations Team. Our Global Operations Team empowers our clients, partners with asset owners around the world, and manages end-to-end coordination of shipments around the world to further us on our mission of fixing the user experience in Global Trade.
What you'll do:
- Manage a team of ground-handling personnel at our Flexport Warehouse in order to ensure smooth operations in line with Flexport standards
- Work with other operations teams, clients, partners and airlines to help move freight for our clients.
- Work closely with Flexport global pricing & procurement teams to manage and develop our future warehouse capabilities.
- Analyze air freight volume and weight data in order to optimize building ULDs and consolidated shipments
- Implement and drive process strategies and improvements for all warehouse operations and freight movements in line with our future blueprint;
- Assist in developing proprietary software across the Flexport warehouse network;
- Continuously identify and execute on logistics and supply chain solutions focused on customer experience and operational efficiency;
- Ensure compliance with appropriate governmental regulations and company policies;
What you'll need:
- BA/BS degree with a strong track record of success;
- (Preferred) 1-3 years of prior experience in Logistics, Warehousing, Freight Forwarding, Supply Chain or Consulting; (high performing fresh grad could be considered)
- Excitement to manage people and create best in class operational teams
- Process oriented, structure thinker and strong problem solving capabilities
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills in English, Cantonese and Mandarin;
