Air Freight Procurement Associate | Hong Kong

As a result of our global expansion, we're looking for an Air Freight Procurement Associate to join our growing Pricing and Procurement Team. Salivating at the thought of building relationships while streamlining the inefficient industry of global trade?  Keep reading!

What you’ll do:

  • Help build and implement operational infrastructure / processes;
  • Work closely with our Operations and Sales Teams to drive procure capacity and optimize pricing;
  • Drive market intelligence;
  • Continuously identify and execute on efficiencies;
  • Review and analyze partner rates (and aid the team in creating scalable processes for effectively doing so as we grow!);
  • Analyze and review quotes based on the market;
  • Analyze feedback from sales on rate competitiveness;
  • Work closely with Flexport’s Pricing  team on RFQs (bids for new business);

What you’ll need:

  • BA/BS degree and 1-2 year of experience at a top consulting, accounting, or investment banking firm;
  • Strong analytical background and knowledge of Excel and other database/modeling software
  • Strategic vision and ground floor execution;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • An obsession with client happiness. You succeed when they succeed.
  • Next-level attention to detail.
  • A mastery of email communication. You keep the inbox at zero.
  • Courage to challenge the status quo when logic and reason require it. See something broken? Fix it.
  • Competency in Mandarin Chinese is mandatory, Cantonese is a plus
  • Successful applicants should have existing legal work rights in Hong Kong
