Description

Provide support in the form of web page development and SQL-based query construction. Developer will need to be able to quickly understand and transition between discrete elements of a larger project, based on tasking assigned by the development lead. Developer will also need to be able to quickly isolate and address any issues encountered by users in the course of their use of the system, providing clear, concise documentation of both problem and solution.
Developer will work primarily in PHP and JavaScript, though familiarity with HTML, CSS, and PL/SQL will be helpful.

Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen (no exceptions)
  • Must have a Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering
  • Minimum graduating GPA 3.25
  • Able to quickly adapt to new situations and problems
  • Able to operate in a mission-critical and time-sensitive environments
  • Strong working knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, CSS and HTML
  • Basic understanding of SQL-based database engines (primarily Oracle)
  • Basic level of familiarity with Unix/Linux command-line interface
  • Ability to work successfully and effectively within group environments and functional teams
  • Familiarity with maintainable software processes including software documentation, source code versioning, and unit testing

Education Requirements:

Entry Level:

  • Relevant Bachelor's Degree, no experience necessary

  Mid Level:

  • Relevant Bachelor's Degree plus minimum 5 years experience OR
  • Relevant Master's Degree plus minimum 3 years experience

Senior Level:

  • Relevant Bachelor's Degree plus minimum 10 years experience OR
  • Relevant Master's Degree plus minimum 8 years experience

Desirable

  • Knowledge of various PHP and JavaScript frameworks and libraries (e.g. jQuery)
  • Experience with other programming / scripting languages (Python, Ruby, C, etc.)
  • Basic familiarity with coding large SQL-based databases
  • Knowledge of Macintosh (Mac OS X) software
  • Experience in using PHP's "PHP Data Object" (PDO) library to execute SQL queries
  • Basic knowledge of system architecture may be helpful
  • Basic knowledge of the Department of Defense and Air Force Policies (especially the Security and Technical Implementation Guidelines, or STIGs) a plus
