148085 Alumni/Development Manager I

In this challenging role, you will support the Greenville Technical College Foundation. Duties may include any or all of the following:

-Cultivate and manage a donor portfolio of donors at $2,500 and above by directing, coordinating, and establishing priorities for development, deferred gifts and estate planning, annual giving, or alumni relations to accomplish and exceed these goals and objectives.

-Identify new prospective donors and move to donor status to increase total number of donors by researching and contacting prospective donors. Solicit deferred gifts through life income trusts, life estates, annuities, and life insurance. Determine frequency of contacts and modes of solicitation. Cultivate and build donor support. Develop programs designed to obtain business, industry, and foundation support of and participation in the campus development program.

-Assist with annual fund campaign efforts to include direct mail, e-news, Giving Day, and other college events and marketing efforts by supervising fund raising, providing technical assistance, and formulating policy decisions and plans.

-Assist with donor recognition and cultivation activities such as the donor reception and walls of honor.

-Maintain donor data in software and keep current. Develop promotional materials for use in fund raising.

-Perform all other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree + 3 yrs experience in an area such as alumni development, fund raising, prospect research, or business development activities.  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
-Experience with donor management software, preferably Blackbaud Raiser's Edge
-Knowledge of major gift fund raising methods and procedures.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Knowledge of Greenville County business and community leaders.
-Previous experience in higher education major gift fund raising.
